CY Initiative 2022 - EMERGENCE programme
IMPORTANT :This call is restricted to CY Initiative faculty / Cet appel est reservé aux chercheurs et enseignants-chercheurs en poste dans un établissement de CY Initiative d'Excellence.
As part of the CY Initiative of Excellence (CYI), a sixth Call for Proposals is launched in favor of the development of research and its internationalization. The CY Initiative is supported by two institutions: CY Cergy Paris Université and ESSEC.
This aim of this Call for Proposals is to support projects from the CY Initiative scientific community that contribute to the development of scientific excellence. The scientific quality of the projects, their contribution to visibility, attractiveness and the dynamics of excellence will be decisive.
Projects targeted include the emergence of original research projects, both at the level of individual researchers and research groups, that seek to explore new research directions or to consolidate existing research expertise, and the strengthening of doctoral and post-doctoral training. The projects supported will contribute to the development of international scientific collaborations.
This Call for Proposals will provide funding for the following actions:
- The EMERGENCE PROGRAMME aims to incubate the development of innovative individual research projects in preparation for external research funding; Emerging research projects with high potential can be supported under the present call for a period of 2 years, up to €50k.
Projects supported under this funding scheme are expected to demonstrate their ability to attract external funding for research activities (national or international funding agencies) in order to sustain their scientific aims beyond the support received from the present call.
Areas of research
The present call for proposals welcomes both fundamental and applied research projects in all scientific disciplines.
Beyond the scientific quality of the projects, the CYI aims to shed light on major contemporary societal issues through the development of high-level academic research. These issues will be understood in their global complexity, favoring an interdisciplinary approach, mobilizing different disciplines within the major disciplinary fields, and more broadly combining social sciences and modeling with other disciplinary fields. Special attention will be paid to projects revealing and tackling social challenges linked to the fields of economics, finance and management, heritage, art and luxury, risks, society and security.
