CY Générations 2025 - HORIZON programme
Opens 4 Nov 2024 00:01 (CET)
Deadline 6 Dec 2024 13:00 (CET)
Description

IMPORTANT: This call is restricted to CY Generations institutions (CY Cergy Paris University, ESSEC, CY Alliance institution & CY Generations partners) / Cet appel est réservé aux chercheurs et enseignants-chercheurs en poste dans un établissement partenaire de CY Générations (CY Cergy Paris Université, ESSEC, institutions CY Alliance et partenaires CY Générations).

[NB: supporting documents]

The CY Generations (CYG) third call for proposals will finance multidisciplinary projects, involving Sustainable Development Goals, and leaded by laboratories included in CY Cergy Paris University, ESSEC Biusiness School, CY Alliance institutions, CEREMA & Learning Plannet Institute.

Aim

The aim of this call for proposals is to support projects from the  CYG scientific community that contribute to the development of scientific excellence. The scientific quality of the projects, their contribution to visibility, attractiveness and the dynamics of excellence will be decisive.

Projects targeted include the emergence of original research projects, both at the level of individual researchers and research groups, that seek to explore new research directions or to consolidate existing research expertise, and the strengthening of doctoral and post-doctoral training. The projects supported will contribute to the development of international scientific collaborations.

Projects supported under this funding scheme are expected to demonstrate their ability to attract external funding for research activities (national or international funding agencies) in order to sustain their scientific aims beyond the support received from the present call.

Areas of research

The present call for proposals welcomes both fundamental and applied research projects in all scientific disciplines

Beyond the scientific quality of the projects, the CYG aims to shed light on sustainable development issues through the development of high-level academic research. These issues will be understood in their global complexity, favouring an interdisciplinary approach, mobilizing different laboratories (at least 2), different disciplines within the major disciplinary fields, and more broadly combining social sciences and modelling with other disciplinary fields. Special attention will be paid to projects linked to four themes: repair & care (SDGs 3, 10, 16), produce & consume (SDG 12), build & organise society (SDGs 8, 9, 11), promote solidarity & inclusive education (SGDs 1, 4, 5).

Programme

The HORIZON PROGRAMME aims to incubate the development of innovative research projects in preparation for external research funding. Its generous funding (up to €200k) allows researchers teams to finance ambitious projects, including the recruitment of new staff dedicated to the project.
